One of Northeast Ohio's premier youth wrestling clubs, Team Kratos provides an opportunity for students in grades K-8th to learn the fundamentals of wrestling while simultaneously building character skills that will benefit them throughout the journey of life. Serving northern Summit County, our team provides year-round training opportunities as it prepares for a balanced mix of local, regional, and national wrestling tournaments. Our team also benefits from a solid base of commercial and private sponsors. We welcome wrestlers from across Northeast Ohio to attend a Kratos wrestling practice and learn first-hand what this team is all about.

OAC LogoAnnouncement: Train for OAC Grade School & Jr. High School State Championships

Team Kratos welcomes local area wrestlers who are in search of a training site for the OAC Grade School and Jr High State championship tournaments. Team Kratos provides high intensity, structured practice sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 8pm through March 17th.

Most nights, we range between 30 to 50 wrestlers from local area communities who have decided to join forces and train for these OAC events. Practices are held at Hudson High School located at 2500 Hudson-Aurora Road, Hudson, Ohio, 44236. For more information, call Doug Williams @ 330-245-6050

1/28/12: Ten Wrestlers Advance to OYWA Highland Districts

Today, ten of our thirteen varsity squad members finished in the top 4 of the Sectionals competion and thus advance into the Highland Districts to be held next week. "Our team has shown a lot of improvement throughout the year and exceeded my expectations as to how many kids I'd thought would advance." commented coach Doug Williams. "Our sectionals are notoriously one of the toughest within OYWA. We entered the 9 team competition with 7 seated wrestlers of which all advanced. In additon, we had three wrestlers who were able to beat seated kids and also also ern a trip to districts." Kratos Placewinners included 1st Place: Dietrich Boysel, Michael Caniglia, 2nd Place: Ronnie Pietro, Ben Basta, 3rd Place: Aidan Fultz, Kevin Callahan, Dawson Wervey, Nolan Hogue, 4th Place: Matt Williams and Gavin Wervey.

Highland District competion will be held on February 5, 2012 at Medina Highland High School.

1/16/12: Kratos Wrestling Hangs Tough at Shaker Duals

Our varsity team competed in the Shaker Heights Duals Tournament where the squad finished 2-2 with several team members not in the lineup but our replacements delivered big. Standout wrestlers included Derrick Berdysz and Matt Stauffer whom both were 4-0 on the day, and McKinsey Tayerlee who wrestled tough at the 70 lb wt class and was 2-2. Final team scores were

Earlier in the month, Kratos defeated Portage Lakes and Green in OYWA dual match competion, bringing but season dual match record to 13-5.

12/31/11: Exiting 2011 With 9-3 Dual Match Record

Kratos Wrestlers closed out 2011 on a high notes with two solid dual match wins in OYWA action. During this past week, Team Kratos defeated Akron Gladiators (Gold) and Field in head to head action. Contributing to the victory over Field included Ben Basta, Dietrich Boysel, Matt Williams, Aidan Fultz, Austin Rohrer, Mason Coleman, Nolan Hogue, Michael Caniglia and Kevin Callahan.

12/22/11: Kratos Holiday Practice Schedule

12/18/11: Strong Showing at Wadsworth Duals

On December 17th, Kratos Wrestlers squared off against 5 opponents in head to head dual match action at the Wadsworth Duals. Kratos kicked things off with a string of three team wins against Lancaster, Medina, and Wadsworth White; however the win streak came to an end during the final two matches of the day. Kratos wrestlers showed a lot of grit and determination as they battled with Team Mixer (Cinci area club), and Westshore (feeder program to St. Eds). Wrestlers Ronnie Pietro and Dietrich Boysel completed the day with unblemished records of 5-0.

12/03/11: Kratos Goes 3-0 at Shaker Preseason Duals

In weekend competition, Kratos wrestlers kicked things off with a solid 3-0 start in dual matches.

11/27/11: Wrestlers Return from State College

Five Kratos wrestlers attended a two day camp and Pennsylvania top 100 tournament during the Thanksgiving Weekend. David Cumberledge and MacKensie Taylerlee placed at the State College Thanksgiving Open with 1st and 4th medals respectively. Between training sessions, the team soaked in the various sights and entertainment around campus.

11/20/11: Kratos Congratulates 3rd Annual Clash of the Titans Champions

Congratulations to the 285 wrestlers who competed in this year's "Clash of the Titans" Invitational Wrestling Tournment. The goal of this tournament was to assemble some of the top-gun teams from across the state and beyond to provide an excellent mix of seasoned wrestlers and provide a benchmark of the competion they will face at the State Championships later in the season. This year, the tournament lived up to its billing. Across the pool of 285 wrestlers included 3 national champs, 19 individual state champions, and 78 previous state championship place winners from Pennslyvania, Michigan, and Ohio. Team Kratos had 2 individual champions and 4 placers. Dietrich Boysel (1st Place - 67 lbs, Mason Coleman (1st place-82 lbs), Ronnie Pietro (2nd Place - 70 lbs), and Matt Williams (5th place - 73 lbs).

10/29/11: Winter Programs Start Nov 3rd (Change from Previous Announcements)

Team Kratos will begin its winter programs on Thursday, Nov 3rd. This is a change from previous announcements. First practice for all participants will be held at Hudson High School wrestling room starting at 6pm.

10/27/11: Preseason & Intro Session 1 Wrap-up

A special thanks goes out to the 40+ participants of the Preseason and Intro Session 1 participants. This past week, Team Kratos concluded its Preseason and Intro Session 1 which was held on Tues and Thursday evenings during the month of October. Each year this program has grown in level of participation. This year we had participants from over 8 different communities across northeast Ohio.

9/25/11: 2011 Clash of the Titans Set for Nov 20th

Team Kratos is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual, “Clash of the Titans” Grade School Invitational Team Tournament. On Sunday November 20th, 2011. Team Kratos will bring together sixteen of the toughest youth wrestling teams from across Ohio and neighboring states to provide an opportunity for young wrestlers to battle against the best wrestlers in the country. Sign ups are now underway for Team Kratos Preseason and Winter Programs. Similar to last year, Team Kratos will host several programs to cater to both Novice and Advanced wrestlers.

7/30/11: Three Wrestlers Compete at Ohio State Fair Wrestling Tournament

Not missing a beat, three Kratos wrestlers headed south to compete in the Ohio State Fair Wrestling Tournament. Wrestlers Ben Basta, Ronnie Pietro, and Matt Williams decided to enter the mid-summer competition after having just returned from training out-of-state at the Chertow Wrestling Camp in State College, PA. All three wrestlers placed at the Ohio State Fair event. Ronnie and Matt both notched second place finishes, while Ben took a 5th.

7/25/11: Beating the Heat at State College, PA.

Eight Kratos wrestlers attended the Chertow Summer camp in State College for five days of intense training with Olympic hopefuls and NCAA All-Americans. Kratos Wrestlers included Matt Slater, Austin Mullen, Joey Hawthorne, Ronnie Pietro, Mason Coleman, David Cumberledge, Matt Williams, Ben Basta and Bendan Williams. Each day consisted of approximately 6 hours of wrestling. Guest instructors included former Olympian Rulon Gardner who announced his plans while at camp to make a run for the 2012 London Summer Olympic Squad. During the down-time between sessions, Kratos wrestlers enjoyed taking in the sites and activities around State College.

6/30/11: Summer Training Heats Up

Summer training continues with Kratos Wrestling. On average, around 30 kids show up each Sunday evening for coach-led instruction, drilling and live competition. The summer sessions offer a nice change from regular winter sessions by allowing the kids to work on a few specific techniques and drill these into muscle memory. Area wrestlers are invited to come attend our sessions free of charge.

Team Kratos and Hudson Wrestling welcomes local area wrestlers who are are in search of a structured training program during the summer months. On Sunday evenings starting June 5th, Team Kratos will host instructor-led practices at Hudson High School located at 2500 Hudson-Aurora Road, Hudson, Ohio, 44236 from 6pm to 7:30pm. All sessions are open to the public.

5/10/11: Kratos Wrestling Plans to Attend Chertow Wrestling Camps

Team Kratos wrestlers are invited to attend any/all of the target camps which our coaching staff will attend. Our target camps for the summer of 2011 are:Chertow 2011

-July 17th: Ken Chertow Camp @ State College, PA

Ken Chertow Wrestling Camps are one of the best run in the nation. The camps bring together a distinguished set of olympic and collegiate coaches and wrestlers to provide small group instruction.

5/8/11: Kratos Summer Training Schedule

Team Kratos's offers an Instructor-led open mat session during the summer months of June through August. All practice are on Sunday evenings from 6pm-7:30pm at Hudson High School, 2500 Hudson-Aurora Road.

3/27/11: First Flight in Dayton - Two Wrestlers Earn State Champion Status

Six Kratos Wrestlers extended their season to compete this weekend at the OURWAY State Championships. Kratos wrestlers paid tribute to the birthplace of aviation by taking flight in the form that all six of our wrestlers placed t the tournament and we recorded our first ever OURWAY State Champions.

3/21/11: Kratos Wrestlers Relight the Blast Furnaces in Youngstown

Kratos Wrestling descended upon Ohio's former steeltown (Youngstown, Ohio) where they relit the blast furnaces of yesteryear and forged out five place winners at the OAC state wrestling championships. This set a new record for Kratos Wrestling. Congratulations to:

The wrestling competition lived up to its billing which made for exciting action in most every match. Many matches were decided by the slimmest of margins and in the finals seconds of the match which added excitement to an already electric atmosphere. Across the board, our boys demonstrated time and time again that they were among the best wrestlers in the state. With 32 kids in each bracket, most of our kids had to grind out between 6-8 matches across the two-day period in order to place and fulfill their season objectives.
